Thanks for the quick reply. But I was wondering what would J. E. B. acronyms mean. I know that the ''I'' at Infanterie could also be ''J'' on those tags, but what about E and B? Sorry, I am complete novice about tags.
Sorry the letters are (J E B) Infantry Ersatz Battalion. Infantry replacement battalion 11 company, "Kroat" Croatian B is for blood group "B" soldier number 83
Thank you, Eike! That's all I needed to know. This tag was ground dug on north of Slovenia on path of retreat of this division.
