Another ID Disk question

I am looking to buy ID DISC, and according to seller it BELONGED TO A MEMBER OF 167 INFANTRY REGIMENT THAT WAS PART OF 6TH INFANTRY DIVISION THAT FOUGHT IN FRANCE AND LATER IN RUSSIA WHERE THE UNIT WAS DESTROYED.
Can you please verify the infor about this unit?

Regarding the disk, I have closelly examined it and it appers that group number B, is only present on one half of the disk, the other have doesn't have a group number inscribed on it..

The font looks OK, with the exeption of letter I, which is Italic, and different from other fonts.. I./J.R.167 Slab

Look at the Lexikon der Wehrmacht site linked to in the sticky thread at the beginning of this section and you can find the history of any unit- IR167 will be there for sure.

As for the disc itself, it looks fine to me; the oddities are usuall good things- the upside down blood group, which is a different font than the rest and only on one half is something that fits with the disc being real as does the 'italic' Bataillon number; that's probably just a flat punch like a screwdriver used to make three lines and fits with the marking 'Stab' with an 'l' substituting for a 't'. The latter suggests the stamp set was incomplete (not that uncommon really), so it would seem their capital 'I' was gone too.
