    Hi Gentlemen,

I have been researching the Totenkopf EKM i bought recently. My research so far pinpoints this Circa 1941. I know that this particular Regiment went on to be formed into SS Nord Division later on.

My questions are of this specific unit. The info i find is a bit confusing. What i am generally wanting to know is:

1). Which specific Cuff Title would this Regiment have worn?

2). Is this possibly an officer's EKM since it is a Stab? (a longshot by why not)

That's about it for now. Thanks for the help. Any info would be great. Im sure i will think of more question later.

Stab refers to the Regimental Staff Company so it could relate to any rank , probably they would have worn a Totenkopf cuff title !

Well there were at least 4 or 5 different CT's in the Totenkopf.

    1. Totenkopf
    2 Theodore Eicke
    3 Thule
    4. Heimwar Danzig
    5. Thurigen (off the top of my head spelling wise)

That's correct but i will explain my rationale behind my first answer , Theodore Eicke and Thule were both Regiments of the Totenkopf Divison and didn't come into use until 1943 , Heimwehr Danzig was a unit originating in Danzig and was worn by that unit or later in the war by former members of SS Totenkopf Regiment 3 , Thuringen was the the 3rd Standarte of the Totenkopf Verband your EK is from the 6th.

So at the time of recieving the EK he would probably have worn the early Totenkopf ( Deaths Head ) Cuff title.

Whilst with Nord depending on his role and how long he served or survived he could have worn Nord , Reinhard Heydrich or Michael Gaissmair cuff titles.

I hope this clarifies things !

Thanks Paul. This helped alot. I knew the Theodore Eicke was a later issue after his death, but the others i did not know particularly. I will collect around this EKM and am looking for a CT now. I am picky and will hold out for a real gem.
