Well, my friend, this soldier hasn't been killed, he hasn't fought anywhere. He hasn't even been born. This tag is fake. Well known so called Rokas fake. These have been produced in St.Pete years ago and many of them are still in circulation. Remember this crappy typeface.

    Hello,
    Welcome to the forum....
    Sorry for this bad Erkennungsmarke
I have never seen an Einsatzgruppe dogtag
I don't even know if they existed

    Where did Einsatzgruppen fight ?
I don't know if they fought as their job was to execute people at the rear
    Thanks

Well, of course there were Einsatzkommando tags. Actually there were many different Einsatzkommandos. First of all infamous Einsatzkommando d. Sicherheitspolizei/SD - who did very little combat as their main job was Jew and partisan hunting.
They had their own tags I know at least 3 different types of these.
Second type of Einsatzkdos were Gendarmerie Einsatzkommandos - these were small Gendarmerie ( not to be mixed up with Feldgendarmerie) posts in newly occupied towns or villages. These were later transformed into Kommendantur der Gendarmerie or Polizei Verwaltung posts depending on if it was town or countryside.. They also had their own tags ( I have 3 of these from Minsk, Shitomir and Italien Nord).
Einsatzkommando tags are very scarce dependless which kind of kommandos we are speaking about. These weren't just normal soldiers or policemen and due to the things they were doing many of them destroyed their tags and documents when the war was in closing stage.

Never heard them described as the 'Rokas' fakes, but yeah, that totally fits LOL This one doesn't have the best of the 'Rokas' fake indicator letters, but it does have the weird 'r', and that'll help some. Always beward of the really 'interesting' discs, and all SS...
