I recently saw a story about the oldest message in a bottle, thought I could share the images of my "EKM in a bottle"
Unit information and any other feedback is appreciated.

Hi Eike,
Emotive item, perhaps placed in the bottle by family in the hope that he would be home one day. From the Volksbund casualty database:
Schütze Heinrich Heinecke
Geburtsdatum: 08.05.1903
Todes:13.11.1942
Todes/Vermisstenort: Ssiwkowo (Machnowka)
This item was found in Pskov, buried in a German position.
Hi Eike,
I am fairly sure it is the same person, as even the place of birth, Dingelstedt, is the same. It might be that the location on the Volksbundkriegsversorge site is incorrect.
I am not disputing your facts at all, this bottle was in a regular position with the other little items one finds so maybe it was prepared and never used? I do not know t could have just been lost.
Perhaps he left it in a position at Pskov, without doing some more research on his unit and where it was is difficult. The distances are not huge between the two places.
Would this bottle have been left with the man's remains, because his issued tag was missing or damaged?
