EKM question

Hi there guys,

I've been searching the internet for the meaning of the abbreviations on my friend his EKM but couldn't find a darn thing. I thought there was a list with al the abbreviations and their meaning on this forum. Well, the EKM has the following inscriptions:

MATR ............. CIG
REG

Klokhoane

That appears to me to be one of those Romanian? discs- using a German blank...

I don't know if this is of any help but the EKM was found in the area of Halbe.

Yup, I'm remembering right- it's Romanian: https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/axis-...og-tags-14566/ So it's not German meaning you may have to try elsewhere on the forum for folks who kow Roimanian militaria...

Thanks for the help. Would this mean that it belonged to a Romanian that fought for Germany?

I wouldn't think they'd be using German identity disc blanks if that weren't the case...
