    Good afternoon again,

While I was at it I also picked up two RAD emarken from a Russian seller. The seller told me the emarken were found at Kaliningrad.

I tried to do some research on the unit, but the numbers got me confused. If I'm correct the K stands for kriegseinsatz, I am just having a hard time trying to find out what this unit would have done on the Eastern Front. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the RAD might have some more info?

    Thank you in advance!

    Regards, Rik

Hey Rik, the K actually stands for "kriegsbesetzung" which roughly translates as war occupation, most of the Ekm to RAD units stamped in this way appear to have existed on the Eastern front.

Thank you Blackcat. I knew I read about it in Hoïdal's book, I think I just remembered it wrong.

Were these units deployed at the front to build defensive positions for the fighting troops?

Just listening in here, trying to learn. Are they genuine?

In this case yes it is. RAD ekm are not uncommon and have not been faked yet (as far as I know) - but we can always be proved wrong...
