.
The penal regiment SS-Bewärungs-Regiment Kaltofen (also*SS-Straf-Regiment Kaltofen*or*SS-Kampfgruppe Kaltofen) saw action in West Prussia and ended the war near Danzig
Never seen one before and not sure why a penal unit would issue it's own EKM when all the men in it would have already presumably been in other A u E or combat units !

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
Thanks Paul, meaning that this EKM is no good?

I have to agree with Paul, I would need some convincing provenance before I would believe that is a real wartime disk. Not good in my opinion either.
I hear you guys and I appreciate your comments. Have asked the seller about its provenance and see what he is got to say. In the mean time I post another tab same regiment that he is offering for sale, regards, Juan
Hi guys, the seller has now replied to me about it provenance. Told me that these tags were dug out more than 10 years ago in the region of Calvados, France, next to Caen, hope this helps, regards, Juan
