    Goodmorning guys,

last week I have added this kriegsgefangene erkennungsmarke to my collection.
I tried to take good pictures of it, as there is a lot happening on it. You can see it is stamped with Stalag I A (the main camp situated near Stablack) and right next to it you can see E 3, this would stand for sub-camp Königsberg.
I believe the prisoner was first in sub-camp E 7 in Wehlau, because you can see E 7 was also stamped on the emarke but this was later made undone by stamping two O's over it.
The prisoner number also appears to be restamped and now it reads 16476.

The whole thing seems pretty clear to me, the only thing I haven't been able to figure out is the JT stamped on the emarke.
Hopefully someone here could help me out with this.
    Thank you in advance.

    Regards, Rik

Ok, I need to bump this one up as I have spotted something I can't get my head around.

After another closer look it appears the E3 looks more like EB en the E7 is actually EZ. This is weird because the sub-camps were numbered with an E and then a number.
Does anyone maybe have any more info as to why this stalag emarke is stamped differently then it is supposed to be stamped?
I am also still having trouble finding out what JT on the emarke stands for.

    Thank you for your help.

    Regards, Rik

Sorry Rik, I hadn't seen your initial post, but JT identifies the owner as Italian.

Wow, I never would have guessed that. Thank you very much Blackcat!
Nice to know what kind of soldier may have worn this emarke.

I had two responses to your post, looks like the first one did not work. I said"hope you dont mind but I have reused your photo and marked the area. Is this the area you were talking about?" .......paul

It is also not so good to see what I mean. After watermarking the pictures they get blurry, still need to find a solution for it.
