Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings

Wow, look at that shield!! Wonderful find. Congrats to the finder.
I have not ever seen such shield and it looks like as factory made. If You know anything about the lot, please let us know. Was it founds with the remains of the soldier?
Yep, its factory shield, but nobody tell anything certain about it
Shield found without bones or other soldiers remains.
Only helmet and some garbadge. Near Maluksa village, in bunker.
