I dont believe this is a real EKM. Looks very similar in font to other known fakes out there.
The NSKK disc looks just like other examples I've seen and it's not something a faker would bother with so I'd be surprised if it weren't real, and the same goes for the Volkssturm disc. The coded one is tough since it's just numbers, but I don't recognize them, so it's not obviously a fake. The Panzer one I'm afraid is bad- here are three other fakes with the same lower-case letters, in particular you can see the 'g' matches:
Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
thanks a lot but sad I thought the Panzer dog tag was real
they look new - freshly cut from sheet metal
what do you mean ?
the first 2 look new and sheet metal has wear typical to new sheets that were removed from storage by sliding - same effect can be achieve with with 1500-2000 grade sandpaper (used for wet sanding) and then polished with polishing paste on the buffer wheel.
next 2 have artificial rust - kept in a wet rug or plastic bag for 2-3 weeks
last one (5) has fake patina on new piece - either acid or acetone or similar chemical - possibly brake fluid.
so all 5 are fake ?
this is my opinion - the only ones i think might have a chance are the middle 2.
i worked restoring cars and know how metal "behaves" and what causes what.
ok
