    Default German Tag for identification

Hi there, I've come across this tag (it looks like a mini dog tag) It has the word 'FÖRDEG' on the front of the disc, and is blank on the rear. The seller says it was found on a Luftwaffe Airfield.

Does anyone know what it is?

    Cheers,
    Lee

The style of disc is that of the Kriegsmarine, however it looks as though this one's just plain zinc, is that right or is it just the lighting and it's actually kind of a bronzy colour?

I'd guess it's a surname as well- although it's not a common German one I'm familiar with. A quick Google search shows it as possibly a Swedish word although the translator doesn't recognize it...

Certainly not having a unit or 'Kriegsmarine' in addition to the name, it's not likely a military disc; factory workers, non-military medical, authorities and even evacuated children could have Erkennungsmarken of one form or another.
    Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
