    The only people that do know is the German Government, and, like I said, they are very strict about privacy and do not release information, Only to direct family members and then after much documentation and time.

    The organization is the Deutsches Dienstelle in Berlin. A link to their site is below. That will tell you all you need to know. As already said, as a non family member you will not be told much more.
