help with inscriptions
I have bought a Dog Tag, and it reads Gem. Schütz. The Schütze part I know that it means foot soldier, as to the "Gem." I have no idea, can anyone help me?

I´m sure that it is an original because I just bought it last Friday in the Original Musee in Bastogne. I ve been trying to solve the mistery of the Gem. all week-end. I tought maybe you guys can help me out.
But sure tomorow first thing I´ll post some photos of my first tag.

Schütz it stands for foot soldier, right?
And could someone tell me what outfit this guy belonged to, and where did it was stacioned?
