Help wanted.Unknown ID tag:-/

Hello,
I am no expert when it comes to ID tag's but usually they have the unit mark, soldier number and blood group.This tag is what i believe to be the later issue type that has only number's.I know nothing about this tag other than that it was found at a POW camp site recently.Is it possible to find out what unit this one was from?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Tom, it is a Luftwaffe flight/Fallschirmjager "MOB" numbered tag.

All "aircrew" had these tags.

It is possible to find out the details. But I have only a partial list. Others should be able to help you on this.

I was going to ask you direct as i seem to remember you having some kind of list but you have saved me the trouble.I thought it may have been Luftwaffe as Bob Lyons has one with history in a frame similar to this one:0

I hope we can find out more about it asap!

Now i can do more reaserch on the history of that unit.I know this guy was captured in Nth Afrika so that makes it special already.Now i learn that he was in a dive bomber squadron as well!!
That's quite exciting
