Grenz-Infanterie-Regiment Meseritz
Infanterie-Regiment 122
Das Grenz-Infanterie-Regiment 122 wurde am 12. Oktober 1937 in Meseritz mit einem Stab und einem Bataillon mit sechs Kompanien aufgestellt und der 50. Infanterie-Division unterstellt. Bei der Mobilmachung wurde das Regiment auf 18 Kompanien verstärkt und geteilt. 9 Kompanien kamen zum Infanterie-Regiment 122, 9 Kompanien zum Grenz-Infanterie-Regiment Meseritz. Am 10. November 1939 wurden die beiden Regimenter wieder vereinigt und führten nun einheitlich die Bezeichnung Infanterie-Regiment 122. Das Regiment wurde dabei durch drei MG-, eine IG- und eine Panzerabwehr-Kompanie auf die volle Stärke gebracht. Am 15. Oktober 1942 wurde das Regiment in Grenadier-Regiment 122 umbenannt.
