    Hey Guys,

I found this nice relic in the HW a half year ago. I'm trying to trace the German Soldier but I can't find it out. Does anyone knows more about this?
On the picture you can't read the marks, but it says:

    043/ UEB 236
    2392 O

Because of the damage to the letters it is also possible that it says:
    043/ JEB 236
    2392 O

    Thanks!Identification Erkennungsmarke

    More likely 043/ JEB 236 2392 O
JEB means Infantry Ersatz Batt. O would be the soldier's blood type.

Thank you. On an other forum I already found this out. But now I'm looking to get some more information about the person behind the marke.

    Good luck!
Highly unlikely that you will find the owner unless you are a direct relative.

The owner would have been fed into the battle as a replacement. Infanterie Ersatz Btl 236 had its name changed by the time of the HW and was in Denmark, the owner of the tag received it at the time of the units inception in 1939 or within a year or so of it being formed. As such he may well have been living local to WK VI. As already said only close family can get more info from the DD in Berlin.
