It's similar to other Jagdgruppe 88 tags, early pattern shape tag. It could have a chance, but they have all been copied. Clearer pictures?

Interesting, as i heard the zinc for Erkennungsmarken was used in late war maybe from 1942 earliest.

I know Zinc was being used in the first world war and even before, so I am not sure a zinc tag would be a deal breaker.

So most early war disks that I have ever seen were made of aluminum and the regulations about their use did not start until 1939. But I have never seen one of thee in aluminum so maybe the whole legion condor was done in zinc. I have other early war Luftwaffe disks but they are aluminum and not coded like these.
