    I have limited knowledge in this field, and having failed to rule it out after looking at replica examples shown here on the forum, I would welcome any opinions on this piece. The dealer is usually reliable, but this is SS...

    Junk- it's the usual: bad font, etc. The font and even the same layout you can see on these fakes:

    It's likely not the dealer's fault; few of them know enough to be able to evaluate Erkennungsmarken well- they're very specialized.
