    Hi all again:
I want to buy this Erkennungsmarke: 1/JNF. ERS. BTL. 170 Nr.996 Blood type: A
I have some doubts: Printing is a little irregular. The letter J is a bit strange and different from the other letters. Blood Type is stamping 4 times and very deep.
I donĀ“t have a better quality picture, this photo is sent by the seller
I buy it, in a Forum of WW2 Erkennungsmarke, but make sure
Original or Fake? What do you think?
    Thanks for your help
    A greeting.

Several of the letters appear to be from one stamp set, the rest from another- but that's not so weird, nor is the fact that the blood group is stamped 4x deeply- often they're deeper than the main text and I've seen 4 strikes before.

It's probably authentic- a simple Inf.Ers.Btl. disc isn't worth very much- maybe $20USD equivalent- so not faked much. It's not a terribly nice example really though so if the price is much more or there's not some special reason you want this unit, it might be better to wait for something nicer.

Thanks for your reply. The price is about 20 dollars if converted into euros.
Yes, I buy it. I wanted to have a EKM of Infantry Regiment
    Thank you. A greeting

    Hello again;:
I have already received the Erkennungsmarke.
This very well preserved. I've cleaned. It looks almost new. Writing irregular. I see a line under 1/JNF.ERS.BTL. and Nr996, I think for stamping letters straight and not twisted

I trust my fellow Forum, who sold it to me

Oh that's a LOT nicer than the initial photograph made it look- so it was a good buy for sure The lettering being somewhat varying in style is actually an interesting detail as is the 4x blood group, deeply stamped. Notice too that the 'N' in 'JNF' is upside down.

Yes, the lines are there to guide the person doing the stamping- they're not common though, so also add one more interesting detail. Nice, original Infanterie disc you have there

    A good looking disc.
    Thanks for showing us.
I almost never seem to get my disc:s at such a good price.
Ah well, I find most things expensive here in Sweden.

    Best regards

Thank you very much for your comment, Matt and Laplander
    You are very kind.
I hope to buy more Erkennungsmarke. Before buying, I like to ask experts to make sure if original. Thanks again
    Greetings
