real or fake ss erkennungsmarken

Hello i'm new on this forum
My name is Peter and i'm from holland.
Somebody gave me these erkennungsmarken and i have no knowledge of erkennungsmarken.
please can somebody tell me of these are real or fake.

Hi Peter- Welcome to the forum

Unfortunately, I'm afraid neither one of those discs looks at all real to me- the most obvious reason is that the fonts are the same and if there's one rule when it comes to Erkennungsmarken, it's that virtually every unit's discs should look different. Fakers use one set of stamps to make lots of different units, so if you see the identical font on discs from two different units, they're likely fakes. Also the Dirlewanger has a known type, and that's not it; and since that one's obviously fake, the other must be as well since it's made with the same stamps. I'm just very glad to read that you were given these and didn't buy them
