Hi gents.
Can anyone identify this one for me.
I was thinking Sanitat Ersatz Abteilung.
Would The X be for the Wehrkreis.
Your help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Sanitäts Ersatz Abteilungen were numbered 1 to 18. I'm not aware of an Abteilung X (there was a 10). It's quite possible the X refers to its parent Wehrkreis location. The cord looks original as well. The existence of other ekm with the same stamping or a Soldbuch entry for this unit would help.

Thanks for the reply. I checked on the lexikon site and was baffled by the X.
As you say would be nice if someone had a similar ehm to show.

As was expected the emarke wich started this thread is good. I found another example on Axishistory forum and it was given the thumbs up.

Indeed, so it does refer to Wehrkreis X, Hamburg.
