I want to show you a small group of erkennungsmarken obtained from the Stalingrad area.
As usual I like to hear your opinion on these tags.

The tags was found in the Volgograd area.
They are ground dug.

Those are nice, original examples for sure- the Nachrichtenzug isn't one I've seen before, so an uncommon unit type to be sure. And the Artillerie-Regiment Stab isn't common either...

Thanks for your reply.
I am very new at collecting erkennungsmarken and I plan to try and learn some.
I have a reliable source in Russia and I am very happy so far with the ones I got.
I hope to be able to show some more soon.
Maybe even be able so sell one or two in the future, who knows.

My main suggestion is to avoid buying any SS discs before consulting with as many experts as you can find, and that goes for other 'interesting' units as well- Hermann Göring, Großdeutschland, etc.- as they're all faked extensively. Really, unless you know the seller personally, it's best to get opinions on authenticity before you buy- at least until you learn enough to be able to evaluate them yourself

I try to follow Matt L:s advice and stay away from expensive SS-discs, atleast until i have gathered some knowledge in this area.
I am instead looking for discs from veterinary, sanitäten(spelling?) and other low profile participants in the war.
