    Hi, there is a thread posted very recently about the type set of the letters and numbers on ID discs. For me I dont think it is real due to the word "Norge" this was a division name, and I have not seen any tags with division names - usually only battalions and regiments etc. Dont take that for granted, some ID collectors may be able to advise you better.

    Correct- there was a recent discussion about one exactly like this: ID tag SS Norge Rgt. 23 Given the problems with it and the fact that there are known examples that are very different, it's likely it's a fake.

    In fact, it's definitely a fake- this fake Polizei disc has the exact same very distinctive 'r' and 'g', so that makes the Norge a fake too.

    Allan , Norge was SS Panzer Gren Regt 23 a component part of the Nordland Divison !!
