SS Freiwilligen Legion Niederlande
Good day to everyone!
I have this id disc of a dutch SS volunteer. For me it looks like a good, original piece, but would like to hear other opinions to be sure about that. The ,,correct transcript" would be- Reserve Company Volunteer Legion Netherlands? As far as I know it is a rare piece. If I am wrong about something, please correct me.
Thanks a lot!!
With best wishes

That font looks suspicious to me, there are some fake disks in the fake font section that are the same.
Eike41, this font is also on original pieces.
But I'm not sure is this ,,dutch boy" original..!?! Would like to hear from other people.
It may be fine, lets see if anyone else as an opinion. Are you sure the unit existed? "ERS KOMP" as opposed to battalion or regiment?
By July 1941, Nordwest was dissolved to form separate units. The Dutch were organized into SS Volunteer Unit Niederlande. By July 1941 the formation was the size of a reinforced infantry battalion, with five fully motorized companies. The unit was again redesignated, this time as SS Volunteer Legion Niederlande.
Frw.Legion „Niederlande“(to 24.9.1941 SS-Frw.Standarte „Nordwest“)
Gliederung des Ersatz-Bataillons der Legionen:
1.Kompanie für freiwillige Dänen (Ers.Kp. Freikorps Danmark)
2.Kompanie für freiwillige Flamen (Ers.Kp. Frw.Legion Flandern)
3.Kompanie für freiwillige Niederländer (Ers.Kp. Frw.Legion Niederlande)
4.Kompanie für freiwillige Finnen (Ers.Kp. Finn.Frw.Btl.d.Waffen-SS)
Ersatz Kompanie means Reserve company.
Good day, gentleman.
Looking forward to hear from You!This erkennungsmarke is still under question mark...
Have you searched the forum for this or other Legion EKM ?
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
I was searching on the forum, and I found some other type EKM's belonging to dutch SS, but didn't find exact one like this.
Maybe You can help me out.
Thanks a lot
Good evening again.
I don't want to sound shrill, but this question is still not solved..
I am sticking to that it's a genuine peace, but haven't heard anything from others. No reply is also reply, but does it mean people don't know the answer?? I don't think so
With best wishes
