Re: SS PZ GREN REG NORGE disc
You're definitely right but I just can't help but at least trying to satisfy my curiosity by digging just a bit deeper on this one... this has turned into almost like a truth is stranger than fiction kind of situation. I promise, I won't be going for this one unless some kind of a revelation unfolds

I don't even thing those two pieces would fit together, the angles on the break look wrong!...
Bear in mind that the narrow sections bend to 70 or 80 or 90 degrees and only break when bent back and forth a couple or three more times; the ends always tear and partly remain bent too so you can't judge whether or not they line up from a photo- sometimes its necessary to hold them together at a significant angle to see how they do.

Re: SS PZ GREN REG NORGE disc
Slados apologies for not replying to the pm on this Norge tag i looked at it then forgot to reply !!!
Interesting to see the two halves and that they may allegedly be from Narva , i will make some enquiries and see if the owner of a tag with that number was KIA/MIA at Narva ?

Re: SS PZ GREN REG NORGE disc
Hi Paul, no worries! If you could check this number against Narva KIA/MIA's it'd be great! I'm more or less off this tag at the moment due to the questions raised but there might still be hope (?)... I'd love to have one of these, for obvious reason, either way--- so, if not this one, I'll just keep looking Let me know if you manage to dig anything up!

Re: SS PZ GREN REG NORGE disc
Thought I'd update this thread with the fact that this disc is now a 100% confirmed FAKE. I will post more later today when I have more time. In the meantime I wish to thank all of you for your help and advice on this one, I may have made a rash decision and not delved farther into this without it!!

Re: SS PZ GREN REG NORGE disc
Wow- that's awesome. I've never seen this kind of evidence found before- brilliant It would seem that it's perhaps a real old disc that the faker re-aged around the new stampings to hide the loss of original patina. Very stupid to post a picture of it though LOL Well now we know any of this type of disc is a fake and we have one more font that we know is bad...
