Im no expert on this stuff but by what ive been looking at my guess would be a fake? because the way the letters look? Lets wait for other response. - Nick K
Thanks for your input....Lets see what others think...
I'm not in love with it. The '1.SS' seems to be a different font and strike weight than the rest of the stamping. I also can't see any wear to the lanyard holes so my guess would be a post war stamping of an original blank. Matt L and/or Stacz will hopefully be along to confirm one way or the other.
true LAH items are very difficult to find,,,i would be skeptical on this one
it looks either fake or restamped but to a highish level the upper 5 of the 356 is above the rest of the numbers indicating that at least the 5 has been restamped but still very good even for a fake
Thanks everyone...I really appreciate everyones thoughts and opinions.
It has not got the correct designation
When you're wounded and left of Afghanistan's plains,
An' the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle an' blow out your brains,
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier." - Rudyard Kipling
What do you mean by designation? The unit?
