    LOL, Eric! She's a GREAT GF! Last year she got me a Mauser. I think the Disc is stamped: 4/SOH. ERS. BTL mot3

    My last b-day my wife got me a great K98 Mauser we are Lucky to have such great women hope you get the info you are looking for...

    Yup, it's 'Schützen' as in armoured infantry (not that they had armour, but rather they were infantry associated with armoured units), not as in plain riflemen, and the 4. Kompanie of any unit was an MG Kompanie so this soldier likely received some MG training. Very nice
    Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
