This looks like ww1.

I don't think so, but I'm no expert, lol. WW1 has soldier's name, and DOB, from my experience. I have a bunch of WW1.

Yup, it's 'Schützen' as in armoured infantry (not that they had armour, but rather they were infantry associated with armoured units), not as in plain riflemen, and the 4. Kompanie of any unit was an MG Kompanie so this soldier likely received some MG training. Very nice
