    Hello guys

I am looking to get some info on the fabric and seams/stitching on these Amoeba Suit/suits.

The fabric is modt likely good late war or 1950's. The question is if the seams are period? I know a lot of repros are made from old original fabric like the helmet covers i made There is IMO no reason to pay WW2 prices for something made in post 2010... I am also not familiar with the stamps. The suits are not sold out of Russia btw.

Some opinions on originality will be much appreciated

    Hi,
Good, for me. Manufacturing end of the war or early 50s.
Buffer the factory '13e anniversary of the October Revolution, Kharkov.
The factory was destroyed by the Germans in August 43 but she start producing uniforms, blankets, .... in the month of December 1943.
In 1944, the factory is 100% operational and produces 95% of the standard.
    Regards.

These is a DDR reparations made in the end of 1940's , beginning 50's amoebas with add later fake stamps, to increase the value, and sell as a war time pieces.
The cloth is more fat than a war time amoebas. They was found approx 15 years somewhere in Russian depot, more than 200 pcs, and mostly sold as a war time pieces

What Dimas says is hard to judge in photos. However when considering Amoeba for sale that you cannot handle, you should request photos of the inside of the suit. The thin material that wartime suits are made from typically has very heavy bleed through of the printed color through to the back side of the material. I like to see bleed through of the color that is at least 70% (or more) as intense as the print on the outside. The suit you show has very little bleed through which can indicate a heavier base material.

This suit is not a fake in my opinion, but does seem to possibly be one of the later suits as Dimas and Philippe refer to.

i think, to buy it, if the price is no to expensive, because it's for me a post war (1945-1950, nearest to 45 than 50).

In my opinion, this one has potential to be a good war years made example. One of the photos shows heavy bleed trough on the inside, but I would want to see more of the inside of the smock and trousers. Further, in the close ups of the button there are some subtle details of the cloth and stitching that make me think that the base material is very thin.

What do you see that makes you think it is a later piece other than the low starting price? Caution is always good...
