Identifying a telogreika jacket

Actually you did guess correctly. All wartime tank helmets have three "horns" on top... but, not all three "horn" helmets are wartime. At least three of these crewmen were the first postwar modification to the tank helmet. The round patch of material over the ear pieces is the detail. This photo is circa 1950-1955. So what does that mean for the attached collar telogrieka??? More confusion.

I now see what you mean about the helmets, related to the rest of their uniforms.

Quite confusing, I agree. But it it what makes soviet collection so interesting. There are things you just cannot find in a reference book, contrary to U.S. or German militaria collecting!

We should be careful... This type clothing existed before the war in civilian life. The military adopted it, but did not invent it. I do not know for certain how many types were manufactured explicitly for the RKKA? There are likely numerous variations when considering the wear of civilian types as well.

Hello fellow collector and experts,
I stumbled across this telo and I'm suspicious, whether it's ww2 or post war.
It has no inner pocket nor stampings, but has buttons with cyrillics and sov. star on it. The owner says it's a war example....
Unfortunately I couldn't find a clear sign to proof it...

I would be great, if you could have a look on it.

Hi,
I find this telogreika nice. The lack of pocket inside and I like the cut. The top buttons are newer. I think this may be telogreika ww2.

As far as your telogreika is concerned, I am able to only state that one should "never-mind" stampings in any case...

Philippe knows his stuff, but Mike knows just as well and I recommend reading his opinion if he has the opportunity to offer it.

By the way, it seems to me that the last image posted shows a quite different example...
