Thanks Richie. You are a big help. I am going to stay away from the other site to much negativity notWell if there is a problem with the wound patch and the shoulder boards that is cool I can make the gymnasterka to what I want it to be. The price was great for the risk. Do have shoulder boards for sale. Something to match the gymnasterka? infantry? tank? or whatever is availible, I just have always wanted a real gymnasterka to put some of my medals on. Any suggestions would be great!

The gimnasterka is definately 1950-60's made. Shoulderstraps is also not good, they are also redone from a 1950's - 6 corner straps. Originally the boards must have red stripes and 5 corners, as seen on the original examples

No Russian museums (including Frontier troops museum in Moscow) or private collection known to me, can claim to have original frontier guards field shoulder boards. So you are very lucky individual.
