Red star cockade
Could I trouble you for a moment of your time please? The seller says this is pre-war, but it's not a M35. The hammer has the longer handle, but the sickle blade is rounded instead of stretched out to look long. He says it's 33mm, so would that make it for an officers hat with a bill? Is it even war time, or post war? I'm leaning to post war, but I'm still learning about these. This is the only pic he has up.
Thank you for your time and knowledge.
Paul

The red star are like the wooman, you need to see the back to have a right idear ! It's seem post war (nearly 1950's).

Re: Red star cockade
It does have quite good detailing and quality enamel, but as you've already noted, there are quite a few differences in the design. Can you get us a photo of the reverse side?

Re: Red star cockade
Hi Paul, you are correct. It is postwar, 1950's.

Re: Red star cockade
47 pattern has a bit wider points, it is as a m 35 in shape, bu the pre war stars are with bright ruby enamel, and really different if you touch them. I will post later the war time examples

I have a couple of these. I thought this is an 47 pattern.
