Soviet cap star

Pics of a Soviet Cap Star that I found amongst a small group of British badges I obtained recently. I assume it probably dates from WW2? Sadly one of the fixing wires is missing.

It is not something I shall keep, but still thought it worthy of a post.

Nice two piece design. I think it to be Early or pre warn but the experts will soon wade in. These are getting 'expensive'
