I live in Russia and see many before ww2 russian tunics,
but I never see tunic high russian officers with bad, sloppy additional insignia
buttons have rust and have big chances for add latter, buttons have not "star"
buttons with "ussr national emblem"- it russian RKM(police) buttons(or general shoulder strap after 1943 buttons)
I don`t know about "grey" summer general aviation tunic"gimnasterka" type-wite tunic only and it white tunic
maked from high officer tunic, it not regulations
Big chances for original tunic(maybe RKM sergeants tunic) with fake insignia my opinion
p.s - it tunic type "gimnasterka"
russian general have not gimnasterka for oficial regulations before 1943 year
high russian officer used gimnasterka from "diagonal" clloth, your gimnasterka not from diagonal
and it used maybe lieutenant maximum
I not sure for 100%, but your tunic very similar with legendary russian faker 1990th era Anton Shalito and KO
handmade "unic" production for European and US collectors, sorry

    Hi Gobusik
Thanks a lot for your valuable information. I checked the buttons on this tunic which are much smaller than the one on the other general jacket's shoulder boards I have in hand. Besides, they are in different shape too. Please see the attached pic below thanks.
As for the tunic. As I know the sergeant or low rank officer's one doesn't has any trim lacing on its collar or sleeve. But this tunic has blue lacing which looks like original stitched on the tunic not after. Maybe I am wrong but please advise thanks.

Thanks for your pics, I agree button seperate, but I don`t write about 100% general after 1943 buttons,
it maybe buttons russian RKM after 1931 and before 1941
tunic seems original low officer (sergeants and lieutenant) m35 gimnasterka (maybe RKM, but little chances)
with addition absurd, maskarad insignia for it tunic
it don`t must be in real, belive me, russian fakers fantasy for US and Europe
it all my minds about it, no more

    Hello,

So to sum up, if I understood well, it would be a good low rank M35 officer's gym that would have been modified by adding fake insignas and wrong buttons.

    Am I correct?
