This is the 3rd and final german item from this estate...I was wondering, is this german ?

It has markings as shown. I couldn't take a photo well but it has cursive writing on the edge with the date 1878.

The scabbard and knife are matching numbers...is this hard to come by ?

Thanks for the help !1878 Marked Bayonet ( German) WW1 Estate Lot1878 Marked Bayonet ( German) WW1 Estate Lot1878 Marked Bayonet ( German) WW1 Estate Lot

Agreed, French 1874 Gras bayonet, the writing on the spine of the blade, in French, is the arsenal it was produced at and the month and year it was made.

the French M1874 bayonet was also used during WWI

French poilu - infantryman of the 29th Infantry Regiment. He is armed with an M1874 Gras rifle and has the t-shaped Gras bayonet fixed to it.
