David,
If I may add, I might be wrong here but from what I believe, most of the silver stamped crosses are made by unknown manufacturers. The exception is, once again by my belief, is the CD800 stamped crosses made by the firm: Carl Dillenius.
Others in the know will chime in on this one.

Okay...question answered. The silver content crosses there are many variations marked 950.
I tread lightly & don't impulse buy anymore. I am a current owner of a "Floch" IC1 due to being impulsive years ago.
Thanks for getting back to me

My pleasure. Anytime!

David,
Always, always, always, post for opinions before you send any money, if you are unsure.
They fake just about everything now.
Greg will be best able to answer your questions on silver content.
Ralph.
Ralph...was thinking of looking for one at this coming SOS show. There are many on tables, sure many are bad. Can always take a few pics & post here before I buy

Yes and no.
Yes, There are a lot of silver stamped crosses that do not have a maker's mark
but there are other makers besides Dillenious that silver stamped their crosses.
Godet, Zimmerman, Meybauer, AWS, Wagner & Sohn. come to mind.
My Meybauer screwback has the maker maker's mark, is stamped 800 on the
back of the cross, 500 on the screwplate and 800 on the attachment nut.
One thing that a lot of us believe is that most (awarded) cross did not have
a silver stamp. Private purchase crosses had silver stamps.

Greg,
I thank you for the clarification. I have never owned a Maker Marked plus silver contented cross other than CD800. Great.. Now the hunt is on! lol. Thank you again for your expertise.

Joel
