Could anyone help in identifying the maker of my second 1914 EKII which is sadly un-marked. To me it looks very much like an MEH but i'm more than likely wrong. There are just so many slight differences from maker to maker that when I think I've got it I find something that doesn't match. However it is very entrancing looking at all the beautiful examples of Imperial EK's on the forum.

Well, at least you chose an early one with a sand cast core, my favorite.
Greg, (Chopperman), will likely have a good idea who made this one. One thing to note is the width of the top middle section of the W, some are wide, some are narrow and some have a slant.
Also, take note of the beading on the lower part of the crown. The dates are the other give away.
    Ralph.

I don't have access to my files right now. But I am quite sure that
it is not a MFH. I hope to be able to spend a little more time with
    this one.

I think this one might also be one of the Wagner variations.

I will need to try and compare the beading and inner corners.

    Hi Wilko,
I am about 95% sure that this cross was made by Sy-Wagner.
The core is definitely a core that was used by the Wagners ( S-W, WuS, WS )

The frame is a little bit more difficult to match but I am almost positive I found
a S-W cross with the same frame.

Here is a comparison between the posted cross and a S-W cross.

    Hello Chopperman
Thank you for all your help in the identification of this Imperial EK2. You have also helped me along with Ralph to know what areas to really look at in the identification process. I have 1 more Imperial EK2 in my collection at present that is un-marked and I will try and identify it first and the post it for conformation at a later date. I just love WWI and WWII EK's.

    Thanks again.
