My little knowledge on the subject indicates that LV stands for: LV (mit und ohne Zahl)-Lieferungsverband für Eiserne Kreuze
Right. These crosses are so described in Frank Wernitz book, types T167 to T171. Many variants exist, but assignment numbers to the definite makers is not known (Lieferungsverband was possibly an association of small workshops).

    Here another example, with LV89.

Joel, I have finally found the time to take some pics. Here is my LV11.

The little blob on the top corner of the core on the right reverse arm looks to be a drop of wax. Which I will attempt to remove some day when I get the time a patients.

    Ken and Tomasz,

Thank you so much for posting your crosses. Tomasz, interesting insight as provided by, Frank Wernitz's book. It makes absolute sense. (in which I need to purchase by the way)

Tomasz, thanks for this, it could very well be LV77. So difficult to really see as the top arm of the '7' is very short which is what led me to think 11 not 77.
    Thank you again
    Ken

I have seen a cross marked LV10, where the "1" was with foot (like the font here).
