    Gents,

Here is another beautiful WWI cross which exhibits the inter-war/ 1939 reissued traits. Need some help from the experts as to whom the manufacturer is. I got my normal role call of players if you will rumbling in my head. However, I need a definitive answer.

I absolutely love the detail of the crown and will highlight this cross as a center piece to one of my medal cases.

I look forward to seeing your thoughts.

    Regards,

    Joel

It is made by Otto Schickle.
They are very nicely detailed crosses. Usually one piece diestamped Neusilber
but sometimes can be found as a traditional 3 piece cross.

Lovely cross Joel indeed. It has fantastic, detailed, and one of the best looking crowns. Beautiful example.

    Best regards,

    Greg,

I thank you so much for the useful information. I'm trying to play catch up per se on trying to distinguish the various types and manufacturers then catalogue my collection. Thank you again for your help.

Otto Schickle used two different core designs. Both are very similar.
    Here is mine---notice the date.

    Greg,

I see the difference in the date. Especially evident in the two styles of the number, "4." There is always something unique around every corner.

While digging through old files looking for pictures of my Schickle cross,
I ran across some old photoshopped images from a decade ago.

Thought you might like this one--

    Greg,

Very creative! The orange glow of the city's lights and the silvery hue of the Cross and Adler make for an interesting contrast. Well done!
