Adler,
I must commend you on an incredible collection. I certainly am in awe seeing it. I only have a few Imperial Items ranging from EK's, unissued trench knife, M16 shell, and lastly, a Prussian Dragoner Regt. 8 Kratzchen. There is some much more I need as seeing your wonderful pictures. LOL!
Regards,
Joel
Thank you Joel! I hope you also find much more fine items of ww1 to complete your collection...

Adler,
what a great collection ! For me as a buckle collector, I would like
to know, if you have a special section of WW1 buckles ?
Thomas
Hi Thomas, here's the thread: -

Cheers,
Richard.
Thank you Thomas! I have no special section of WW1 buckles anymore but I do have some complete belts to use on uniforms of course.
Till a few years ago I had about 50 buckles, but I sold them in one lot to a buckle collector because these funds were needed to purchase a very expensive pickelhaube... One has to choose sometimes, and since I prefer more the haubes... well you know how it is I suppose...

I will show my collection soon...sunlight is missing these days,

I must agree, sometimes you have to let go...
But your whole collection is soooo amazing ! Absolut wunderbar.
Thanks for show and tell

WOW never seen so much in a private collection you are indeed a very avid and i reckon a happy collector.Heres an interesting fact , did you know that the actor George Sewell who was a well known character in films and TV and mostly played hard man or hard cop parts had the largest collection of ww1 german helmets in Europe. It is believed that at one time he had over 700 various types of helmets and Picklehaubes among which was i am told a KAISER WILHELM imperial helmet with the large eagle on top. But it seems noone knows what happened to his collection when he died just , just imagine if that lot came onto the market !!
