I agree- the stamps are wrong for an original
Wagner. (wrong font) I really don't like the
whole back side of this cross. The pin and
catch look close as do the hooks but the back
just looks off. I don't know how to say it that
would make sense but the back frame looks soft.
It should be flat and smooth and to me it looks
kind of wavy.
The front of the cross (what we can see of it) looks
good. But I would really like to see a good, straight

think this but I almost suspect that someone took a
perfectly good 1870 Ek2 and (Frankensteined) it into a
1st class cross.
This thing could fool a lot of people.

I am surprised Miro has not joined the conversation.
He might say that I am totally wrong about this cross.
(which I might be) I know I would not spend my own
money on this on without having much better pictures
or holding it in hand.

That cross is a perfect example of the "Latvian Fake"
This cross can be found as a 1813,1914 and 1939.
It also is seen as a 1st or 2nd class and as a grand
cross and with the star to the grand cross and with
all sorts of different means of attachments.
These are easy to spot from the distintive look of the
inner corners and the round crown on the Imperial versions.
