Exactly right -- not a Wagner core. Wagners used
the standard Type A core. Look at the date. This one
has the over/ under style "8", not the flat 8 .

Greg is right, this is Ninthbeader. Don´t rally on patina, Marc, it can be done convincingly from day to day. There are many home-made methods, as well as original product (orange liquid) used by those who repair jewellery. This "patinator" works within seconds.

I am a jeweler myself, and know about patina ( oxidation) !

Ah sorry, I missed the smiley at the end.
I remember funjoker very well, I have Koch & Bergfeld from him/her and you took that Meybauer cruciform from the same nest. In February, when I bought my K&B piece, I was thinking funjoker is somebody who sells collection of some collector (husband?, father? grandad?), who just passed away. When I saw that auction with crappy pictures and poor description, I was sure this can´t be somebody who knows what he/she sells. And now I am convinced. Funjoker is able to sell everything with the same poor pics - outstanding rarity as well as useless crap.

So, let´s not judge him too hardly. What he earns on this crap, he quickly looses on rarities.
