I've always liked these - especially the silver/enamel grade.

very top of my shopping list is a merit cross whit sword and crown. maybe someday whit flames too...

What he means is that the case in the middle is actually for a 3rd class cross with crown (the lid says "3. Kl. m. d. Kr." = "3. Klasse mit der Krone"), but contains a 3rd class cross with swords.

they are both "3. kl.m.d.kr." and that second class box says: 2 kl.


I bought them from a reliable seller. if gone unnoticed, are cross and a box connected at some point in shop or seller...? i dont know

Yes, apparently the crosses and boxes were joined somewhere along the line of previous owners/dealers.
