Its a Danish 1889 knivbajonet for the Krag- Jorgensen rifle. Looks like this is an earlier one as in 1892 the handles were apparently replaced with wood.

Thanks for the information Spitace41 I had not got a clue where to start looking.
Note-these are completely different from the Norwegian or US Krag J bayos and don't fit the other types.
The 91 on the cross guard is the year of manufacture (1891). Numbers with letters are unit numbers and last 3 digits should match on the finial on the scabbard. The other number is a serial number. Another nice bayo you have shared
