Buying an EK1
I didn't want to hijack someone else's thread, and this has probably been asked before, so sorry if it's out of place.
I'm looking at buying an EK1 next, but don't know where is the best place. I had thought about buying from the next militaria fair in Bedford when it visits - the last one had a seller with an EK1 at £170 - but what's worrying me is getting it home and finding out (from here) that it's a fake, by which time the seller has long gone and nothing I can do to get my money back.
It seems to me one has more comeback if you buy from ebay; at least if it's not as described, there's a recourse process.
Where would you guys suggest I start looking?

Re: Buying an EK1
You can find them very easily on dealer websites and there might even be one or two in the classifieds here.
Take a look through our dealer sponsors websites and I'm sure you'll find plenty.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Buying an EK1
Hi you could buy one from the classifieds, here on the forum of from one of the forum sponsors.
They all have return policies, when the badge turns out to be fake.

Re: Buying an EK1
you might check out emedals for one.
they've got a pretty good variety as far as makers and condition.
as has been said, always post here before buying, not that you need be concerned about what i am seeing on emedals right now or in the classifieds here. it's just a very good habit.

Plus you can always post a picture of it or a link to it onto the forum
to get opinions.

I like the Collector's Guild:
The Collector's Guild
They have quality Ek's that may cost you a bit, but they are indeed the real deal.
