The paint looks way to fresh to me... But I am no expert on WWI helmets

I believe it's a M16. I agree the paint does look fresh. Or maybe touched up in a few places. I'm not good with liners but I don't get a good feeling with this one.

Restored and repainted, IMO

Whatever its just an opinion.
Whoever did, did a nice job, though-it looks great. William

I actually like the paint, somehow.
[COLOR="#EE82EE"]I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I'm out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

I think it's a fake. Although the paint is worn, I don't think it looks faded enough to match the wear and tear. Beyond that, the leather on the chinstrap especially looks brand new.
Repainted and restored helmet. On the pic showing the chinstrap connection, looks like pitting has been painted over.
Aww! I still wouldn't mind it....it looks neat, I think...lol William
