This is a nice example of the Saxon style of mounting.

The latest (admittedly humble) addition to the family is this Bandrolle [ribbon roll] for wear in the lapel buttonhole of a civilian suit:

Here is my latest addition, the Ehrendenkmünze with the Kampfabzeichen mounted on a ribbon bow. Interestingly, the medal is mounted with the reverse side to the front:



Of course, we can flip the medal over, but in that case the Kampfabzeichen would be mounted the wrong way up:
