Re: Ear cut out helmet
Any stampings on the inside? It looks real to me, but would like another look inside. I think the price is a bit high for a relic condition one like this though.

Re: Ear cut out helmet
It look good, but I read anther thread that you should look at the cut out part of the helm. It could be a post war cut from a original helm. Seeing helm like this will always spike up the price.

Re: Ear cut out helmet
Looks like ex mine helmet, but it was in bette condition. That is the forest find DD helmet from Hiiumaa- Estonia, but looks like a mr V Perlbach has kept it in his wet basement about 10 years... And there no traces of the decals anymore...

Re: Ear cut out helmet
The shell definitely looks right, it is a size 64 and the flairs and profile are correct, and it seems that Dimas has seen this helmet, so there shouldn't be any real doubts about authenticity. There should be the ET64 stamp on the apron. Condition and price are the issue. Pristine SD TR reissues go for more than $4000 now, but I picked up the SD reissue that I posted in the thread "Value of German M18 Ear Cut Out Helmets?" on this forum which was in fair shape, with worn liner and chinstrap, and only missing the 2 front early brass split pins, for $1500 last year, so there still are relatively inexpensive examples available out there if you are patient.

Re: Ear cut out helmet
So this helmet is too expensive? It is $680 now.
