Early war German Pilots goggles or Motorcycle?

Hey guys, well I posted a thread about these a few years ago but with the terrible pictures it was hard to really tell. I really want to hear your guys opinions on this. These were given to me by my grandfather who sates these are WWI german pilots goggles, compared to the ones ive seen these seem to be very early war variant with the smaller lenses. Also these could be a type of WWI motorcycle goggles. The pesky moths ate most of the wool inside which is a shame.
